Frequently Asked Questions

When are alerts triggered?

  • Price is the only metric that updates intraday. As a result, only changes to price-based metrics (Price, PE Ratio, etc.) will be sent out intraday. Our alerting system checks for new triggered alerts every 30 minutes between 7:00am and 5:00pm Eastern time. Alerts should never be used for short-term trading purposes. All other alerts run the morning after new data is released and are generally sent before 9:00am Eastern time.

Will I receive an email when an alert is triggered?

  • By default, any alerts you set will be sent to your email address as soon as possible. However, there are four possible email frequency settings:
    • As Soon as Possible - this setting will send you an email as soon as an alert is triggered

    • Daily - this setting will send emails once per day in the morning

    • Weekly - this setting will send emails once per week on Saturday morning

    • Never - this will turn off email alerts, but you can still view triggered alerts in your alerts inbox.
