How to Add Performance Proxies to a Portfolio
You can use a performance proxy if a holding in a portfolio has limited history. Adding a proxy with a longer history will backfill the proxy's performance for dates where the holding does not have performance. This allows you to expand the portfolio history without removing holdings from the portfolio. You can see a quick video on the process along with instructions below:
You can add a performance proxy to a holding in a model portfolio to extend the portfolio history by:
- Editing the portfolio
- Selecting 'Advanced Portfolio Settings'
- Selecting the checkbox next to 'Performance Proxy'
- Selecting 'Edit Items' on the right side
- Selecting the plus icon next to the holdings for which you'd like to add the proxy
- Searching for the proxy
- Selecting 'Update' on the right side after naming all of the required proxies
- Saving the portfolio
