How to Add Exposure Proxies in a Portfolio

You can add an exposure proxy when using a security type that does not contain allocation data to ensure your portfolio will display allocation information. Typically this would be used when using indices in your portfolio as YCharts does not carry allocation data for indices. It will allow you to name a security that you'd like to use for allocation information in the place of the index. You can see a video that walks through adding exposure proxies to your portfolio below:

You can add exposure proxies to fill exposure data in for your portfolio by:

  1. Editing the portfolio
  2. Selecting Advanced Portfolio Settings
  3. Selecting the checkbox next to Exposure Proxy
  4. Selecting Edit Items on the right side
  5. Searching for the proxy next to the holding name
  6. Selecting Update on the right side after naming all of the required proxies
  7. Saving the portfolio
