Custom Tearsheets: Overview
Creating custom tearsheet reports will allow you to create concise and custom report.
he Tearsheet Overview Report is a quick and easy way to create a condensed reports on YCharts. As with other report types, the Tearsheet tool offers 30+ report modules covering returns, risk, allocations, exposures, holdings breakdowns, and more.
How to Create a Tearsheet Report
- Navigate to the Report Builder section under the Tools tab and select ‘Create New’.
- Choose Report Type by select between a single security or multi-comparison format.
- Select Orientation by selecting either portrait or landscape orientation based on your preference.
- To add modules simply select ‘Page Editor’. You can incorporate up to 16 different modules to your tearsheet.
Some of the available modules include:

- Returns data
- Asset allocation
- User-defined data tables
- Scatter plot charts
- Exposure analysis
- Top holdings
- Disclosures
- Custom text fields for custom text and images
- To Customize each module to highlight specific metrics or narratives by clicking on the modules and then the ‘Edit’ tab.
- Once created, save your custom tearsheet templates by clicking ‘Save’.
- To generate the final tearsheet click on ‘Generate’ and add your security/portfolio and select ‘Next’. It will then generate the report that you can share as a PDF or printed document for client meeting.
