How to Build Reports to Gather Assets 

The Report Builder on YCharts helps you gather assets by making it easy to show potential clients how your portfolio compares to theirs and a benchmark—all in one clear, side-by-side report. This is perfect for important meetings where you want to highlight performance, holdings, and strategy differences that set your offering apart.

To create a report, please follow the steps below: 

1. Go to Report Builder under the Tools tab.
2. Choose the Comparison Report template.
3. Click the pencil icon at the top to make sure the benchmark is included.
4. Customize the Periodic Return module to highlight key metrics.
5. Show Holdings Comparison between your portfolio and theirs.
   • Pro tip: Use the pencil icon to label each holdings module clearly.
6. Add Full Page Modules for extra detail—like fundamental charts, comp tables, or stress tests.
   • Stress tests help show how your portfolio handled major market events.
7. Include definitions for clients who may not be familiar with financial terms.
8. Add your own disclosures as needed.
9. Click “Generate Report” to populate report to pdf.
