How to Edit a Dynamic Portfolio

Dynamic Portfolios allow the input of historical holdings data. The editing process differs from that of static portfolios; please follow the instructions below:

  1. Find Your Portfolio:

    • Search for your dynamic model portfolio at the top of the page and select it from the dropdown menu.
  2. Enter Edit Mode:

    • Click the pencil icon next to the portfolio’s name to access the Portfolio Editor.
  3. Download the Source File:

    • In the Portfolio Editor, select "Download Source File." This file contains all past and present holdings, dates, and weights.
  4. Edit Holdings, Dates, and Weights:

    • Open the downloaded file in Excel.
    • To add new holdings or rebalance, add a new row at the bottom of the file with the effective date of the change, and list the updated weights for each security.
    • Ensure all historical holdings are kept intact in the file; only append new rows for new or updated allocations.
  5. Save and Re-upload the File:

    • Save your updated file.
    • Return to the Portfolio Editor and use the "Upload Data" button to upload your modified file.
  6. Finalize Edits:

    • After the upload, click "Save" to apply your changes.
