Frequently Asked Questions

Do you have index constituents data?

  • Yes, for major indices we carry full constituent data. However, we do not have constituent data for every index. If you are looking at an index that does not have constituent data, you may be able to view the constituents by viewing the holdings of an ETF that tracks the index. At this time we do not provide historical holdings of an index.

What is the different between a price return, total return, and net total return index?

  • Price Return: Returns of just the level of the index.

  • Total Return: Returns after dividends and distributions have been reinvested.
  • Net Total Return: Returns after dividends and distributions have been reinvested and taxes have been withheld.
