Portfolio Types

There are 4 types of portfolios:

  1. Model Portfolios - Represent a hypothetical investment strategy or allocation, designed to serve as a guide when making investment decisions
    1. All available inputs included
  2. Client Portfolios - Represents actual client holdings or a suggested client portfolio
    1. Introduces the ability to add cost basis information under Advanced Portfolio Settings
    2. Removes the ability to upload via target weights
  3. Benchmark - Represents a blended benchmark which can be used with other portfolios
    1. Removes the ability to add a fee
    2. Removes the ability to specify a benchmark
    3. Removes the ability to upload via dollars or shares
  4. Household portfolio - Represents a household portfolio made up of additional existing portfolios
  5. Dynamic portfolio - A portfolio that will allow you to track changes to the portfolio over time, more closely matching actual performance due to trades
