What Does the Error "A Model Portfolio cannot use a comparable security as its own benchmark" Mean?

This error will display when the benchmark selected in the Portfolio Editor is also set as a comparable security in the Performance tab of the portfolio overview page.

To resolve that error you can do the following:

1. Search for the portfolio at the top of the page
2. Select it from the dropdown list
3. Select the 'Performance' tab
4. Select the 'Edit Comparables' button at the top right
5. Remove any securities associated with the benchmark from the list

Note that if you are using a blended benchmark, none of the holdings in the blended benchmark can appear in the Performance tab or it will result in the error.
