Why Am I Encountering an Error in the Interactive Analysis Tool When Using a Future Date?

The most common cause of an error when building a future-looking scenario in the Interactive Analysis tool is a lack of portfolio history. The Interactive Analysis tool can only look as far forward as the selected security looks back. So if a security/portfolio has 10 years of history, it can look a maximum of 10 years forward, if it has 5 years of history, it can look forward a maximum of 5 years, etc.

If using a portfolio, expanding the portfolio history by editing the portfolio and adjusting the Start of Series to 'Earliest' or 'Custom Date' will typically resolve that error.

Additionally, when using CAPM Expected Returns the portfolio will need at least 5 years of history and when using 10 Year Return the portfolio will need 10 years of history.
