What Does the Error "Target Weights Must Be Used" Mean?
Generally you’ll get this error if a security held by your portfolio does not have data available on the As Of date selected. You can troubleshoot this by selecting the ‘As Of’ date at the top right of the Portfolio Editor and adjusting it to ‘Last Rebalance’ or ‘Initial’ and attempting to save again.
You can check the performance dates of each security in the portfolio by navigating to the Comp Tables tool under the Tools dropdown, then searching for the securities, and selecting the ‘Info Columns’ button on the right side and searching for ‘Earliest Performance Date’ and ‘Latest Performance Date’.
