Built-In Guardrails

  • All AI-generated outputs (including analysis, summaries, and charts) are produced as a draft and require advisor review before use. Y cannot distribute content directly to clients.
  • Human confirmation is required before any live portfolio or watchlist is modified or saved.
  • Y cannot access or act on tools or data outside a user's licensed entitlements, enforced at the architecture level.
  • Outputs do not constitute a recommendation. Investment, legal, tax, or financial advice is out of scope.
  • Disclosure language is included on all AI-generated reports and is configurable at the firm level.

Home Office Controls

  • User access is managed at the individual level by account administrators.
  • Admins can push shared prompt templates to standardize workflows.
  • For firms with hard AI block requirements, Y can be disabled at the feature level.

Common Workflows

Workflow

Prompt

Context Aware Visual Building

Y reads the page you’re on and builds charts with matching style and formatting

"I’m on the John Smith portfolio page. Build a chart showing 3-year performance vs. the S&P 500."

"Read the commentary on this dashboard and build a supporting chart from the data you see."

"I’m viewing this fund page; annotate the chart to highlight the two largest drawdowns and hide the benchmark line."

Background Task Execution

Leave Y to work while you return to the platform, and get notified when the task is done

"Run a comprehensive overview report for all my client portfolios. Notify me when it’s done."

"Generate a tear sheet for the top 5 holdings in my Growth Model. I’ll be working on something else and ping me when it’s ready."

Screener --> Portfolio Workflow

Build a custom screener and construct a portfolio directly from the results

"Find the 10 best-performing ETFs by Sharpe Ratio over the last 3 years. Build a portfolio weighted by their relative Sharpe Ratio."

"Screen for S&P 500 stocks with a P/E under 20 and revenue growth over 10%. Create a watchlist from the results."

"Find the top large-cap dividend ETFs. Add the top 5 to a new portfolio called ‘Income Core.’"

Comparison Reports and Tearsheets

Create client-ready comparison reports or individual tear sheets

"Run a comparison report for John Smith’s portfolio vs. my Balanced ETF Model."

"Generate meeting prep for my call with Jane Smith based on the attached meeting notes, and include an overview report and tear sheets for her top 5 holdings."

"Build a side-by-side comparison of my three model portfolios on 5-year Sharpe ratio."

Scheduled and Reoccurring Reports

Set reports to run on a cadence and appear automatically in report archive

"Schedule a weekly overview report for all my clients. Run it every Monday morning."

"Set this comparison report to run on the first of every month and notify me when it’s ready."

"Automate a monthly newsletter prep workflow; summarize market news and build 3 supporting charts."

File Upload and Quick Extract

Upload brokerage statements or files and extract data directly into a workflow

"Attached is my prospect’s brokerage statement. Analyze their current holdings and recommend a model portfolio with a better risk-adjusted fit. Run a comparison report."

"Here is an AI meeting summary from my call with John Smith. Prepare follow-up talking points on their portfolio and market questions as a draft email."

"I’ve attached a portfolio spreadsheet. Build it as a new portfolio in YCharts."

Portfolio Analysis and Intelligence

Deep analysis including attribution, optimization, drawdown, and scenario modeling

"Analyze John Smith’s portfolio for concentration risk and top 5 holdings exposure."

"Have any holdings in John Smith’s portfolio experienced more than a 15% drawdown this year? Surface any notable news that may explain it."

"Run a scenario comparing the attached brokerage account to my Growth Model. Assume a $1M investment 10 years ago with $2K/month contributions."

"Optimize my moderately aggressive model strategy for the highest Sharpe ratio."

Research and News Surfacing

Find relevant news, screen across your book, and cross-reference holdings

"What are the most noteworthy news headlines I should be aware of given the exposures in my client portfolios?"

"Find me the best-performing S&P 500 stocks in the last year. Which of my client portfolios have exposure to these?"

"Find all my portfolios with more than 3% allocated to AAPL and put them into a watchlist."

Client Content Generation

Draft newsletters, meeting prep, emails, and commentary from data on screen

"I’m planning a monthly newsletter. Summarize notable news from the last month, write a 1,000-word piece on staying invested, include supporting charts, and add a call-to-action for XYZ Wealth Management."

"Summarize all the data on my Fed Overview dashboard and write a synopsis on what has changed in the economy this year."

"I’m getting ready to meet with John Smith. Run an overview report with talking points."
