Setting Up Your Book of Business

Connect your integration and import your entire book of business into RPM with a single bulk import. Then, explore the dashboard modules that track your accounts and flag what needs your attention.

 

How to Connect Your Integration

  1. Open Integrations and activate your chosen integration by entering your credentials. 
  2. Select which fields to import, then start the bulk import. 
  3. The import can take around 10-15 minutes.
  4. Once imported, click on any client for the full portfolio calculation to process. All clients will fully process during our overnight data reset.
  5. Once complete, you can explore the new Dashboard modules.

Creating and Managing Clients

Create a new client or household record, whether you're adding a single prospect manually or building a portfolio from an uploaded account statement.

 

How to Create a Client Registration

  1. Open Clients from the Tools menu and select Create New to add a client manually. 
  2. Enter in a name and email to start, additional details can be added later. 
  3. Upload an account statement using Quick Extract to build the portfolio automatically, or add one manually. 
  4. Review holdings, then save the portfolio to the client's record.
  5. Mark the portfolio as Internal or External depending on whether you'll be actively managing it.

Assessing Risk Tolerance

Learn how to run a Risk Tolerance Questionnaire with a client, either live in a meeting or sent as a link. Then, learn how to interpret the results before deciding on a risk profile.

 

How to Run a Risk Tolerance Questionnaire:

  1. From a client's Risk Profile tab, select Start RTQ and choose a questionnaire. 
  2. Choose to complete it live in the app, or copy a link to send the client on your own. 
  3. Track questionnaire status (Link Generated, In Progress, or Needs Review) from the Questionnaires page. 
  4. Once submitted, review the suggested risk profile along with its allocation summary, efficient frontier placement, and stress test performance. 
  5. Use Compare to view a second candidate risk profile side by side before deciding.

Assigning a Risk Profile

Assign risk profiles to clients based on questionnaire results or advisor judgment, then review the documented history of every profile change for future reference.

 

How to Assign Risk Profiles:

  1. From the Risk Profile tab, review the suggested profile or select Assign to choose manually. 
  2. You can also manually assign a risk profile from the Risk Profile tab when you already know where a client falls. Be sure to leave a note explaining why you selected that risk profile.
  3. From this same tab you can view Risk History, which will show a log of past changes including overrides and its note. This can then be exported to a PDF for a client file or compliance.

Monitoring Your Book of Business

View your Dashboards and Alerts to stay ahead of risk profile misalignments and outstanding questionnaires for all of your clients.

 

How to Track Your Book of Business

  1. From your Dashboard, review the Book of Business Alerts module for misaligned accounts and outstanding RTQs.
  2. Select a misalignment alert to open a comparison table of every affected client.
  3. Open an affected client to review their current allocation against their assigned risk profile. 
  4. Resolve a misalignment by sending a new questionnaire or using Transition Analysis to trade back toward target. 
  5. Review and complete any outstanding questionnaires from the Questionnaires page.

Converting Prospects and Generating Proposals

Generate client ready proposals and convert prospects to an actively managed client once they move forward. 

 

How to Generate Proposal Reports

  1. From a client's page, select Reports and choose a proposal report type. 
  2. Select the risk profile, associated model, and comparison to include. 
  3. Generate and download the report to review with your client. 
  4. Once the client is ready to move forward, update their status from Lead to Active.
