Risk Profiles: Overview

Risk Profiles help advisors bridge the gap with clients when it comes to risk tolerance and investment recommendations. YCharts enables advisors to generate scalable, data-driven proposals with risk profile information; for large firms, home offices can also implement risk profiles firmwide to save advisors time and boost client satisfaction.

How to Build a Risk Profile

  1. Open Risk Profiles and select 'Create New' in the upper right corner
  2. Assign the risk profile a name (which will be seen internally) and a report display name (which will be seen externally on PDF reports).
  3. Optional: Add a description
  4. Choose a Risk Level, either a numerical value, qualitative label, or range.
  5. Assign a benchmark
  6. Assign a target, low, and high value for each broad asset class
  7. Optional: Assign other metrics - these are what will appear in the Risk Profiles module in a PDF report
  8. Optional: Add associated models
